SELF-CARE TIPS

Listen to Your Body and See What it Needs

So often when we are taking care of others, we don’t have a lot of time to take care of our own needs. That is why I created this list of ways we can meet our needs in 60 seconds or less!

  • Rehydration: Grab a quick glass of water.

  • Warmth: Put on a jacket or sweater.

  • Hygiene: Wash your hands, or floss your teeth.

  • Comfort: Give yourself a quick foot rub

  • Movement: Stand up and stretch, dance or jog in place.

  • Relaxation: Take several deep breaths.

  • Connection: Send a quick text to a loved one or tell someone you care about them.

  • Gratitude: Write down one thing you are grateful for.

  • Calm: Observe the sunset or look at the clouds.

  • Mood boost: Smile, dance, or listen to a favorite song.
