HOME ON THE RANGE

“Home On the Range” has come to be known as an unofficial anthem of cowboys in the North American West. It was written by Brewster M. Higley in 1872 in Kansas and became that state’s official song in 1947. The song is often performed at patriotic concerts and events.

  • Is this melody familiar to you?

  • Are the words familiar?

  • Did you find yourself humming along?

  • How did it affect you? Did your awareness change? Your breath? Your focus? Your mood?

  • Would you feel comfortable playing this in the background and allow yourself to hum or sing along? By yourself and/or with the one(s) you care for?

Home On the Range Here is Gene Autry’s version. I hope you enjoy it!
